FS#397 - Legion - Suramar - "Withered Army Training"
In performing the scenario as objective of:
https://www.wowhead.com/quest=43943/withered-army-training
I had gotten quite a few withered and chests, and then overpulled and died. However, I was unable to release to loot my gains and thus lost the 400 mana to get in and the 3 glittering large chests I had earned entirely.
The instance itself seemed to kick me out after waiting and hoping it would release me, I was momentarily in an empty Suramar (devoid of all things other than landscape) and then it ported me out.

Hello, I was gathering information about that scenario. You can read everything about it into of comments of that same link which you written.
Scenario is working correctly. If you die, you relog or you disconnect while you didnt finished it, you will lost everything that you looted there and you will get teleported out of it because you cant revive in that scenario (blizzlike). And you will have to wait 3 days to join it again when the worldquest pop up again.
